When I first viewed this video, I laughed out loud! It took me back to my first job in radio broadcasting, 60 years ago yesterday - July 28, 1949. I reported for duty at a very small New Mexico radio station, with only the clothes on my back. My luggage had been lost in transit. Embarrassed, I apologized to the station manager, a woman, for my unkempt appearance. This fine lady laughed and said, "This is the land of manaƱa, don't worry about it. Just go get yourself a pair of Levis." I went to a dry goods store and bought a pair of blue denim pants. When I next showed up at the station, my lady boss looked at my new pants, and expressed shock. I reminded her that she, personally, had told me to get a pair of Levi's. She said "Those aren't Levi's... they are gardner's pants!" Like Obama, I had no idea what was what in the world of blue denim. Nothing wrong with the pants. What's wrong is your demonstration that you have no idea what people are doing in this particular situation. If the president has such great advisors, including a wife who chooses costly sneakers and clutches, why wasn't there someone to tell him not to appear in front of the world wearing "Mom jeans"?
