A Gathering Place for Patriots...
I find it interesting that just reading again about Charles Schultz' death, and reading the note he had Snoopy type for him, brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI remember so well when the Peanuts strip first appeared, my mother loved it. She was especially fond of Linus and never tired of telling my sisters and I that each of us - like all little children - dragged a blanket around for comfort and security.
Charles Schultz, like many other truly great and gifted artists, tapped into a familiar reality to entertain and touch us all.
Rest in peace, Mr. Schultz. You are missed. You will be loved by generations yet to be born.
