Just Doodlin'

I had the pleasure of attending a TEA Party held at the Johnson County Community College on the 15th and it was indeed a pleasure. I met neighbors with whom I had no previous knowledge of having something in common. We have lived next door to them for 19 years, but politics had never been a topic of discussion. I've had people ask about the "Don't Tread On Me" flag I was waving. We had people from the radio station that was there ask April to come to the booth with her sign because they felt it was one of the 12 best signs out of the thousands that were there. We had people comment on the back of the sign which asked... "Where is John Galt?" And had an added feature of mentioning the Objectivist Party. If you're familiar with the writings of Ayn Rand you'll recognize the Party Name. April and I are the first and ONLY members from the state of Kansas. Could it be that there arent too many people aware of this party??? One can join by seeking permission. Go to: Objectivistparty.com and express your interest. If Atlas Shrugged ever had meaning or was more apropos than right now, I don't know when that would have been.
Life as we know it in the good ol' US of A just ain't what it used to be folks and if we don't start taking it back right now, we'll lose it. It won't even be noticible. A little here, a little there, our grandkids will never know that it was ever any other way. Little things that don't seem too bad at the time will lead to bigger things and we'll all wonder how it got to be this way. We'll be the first to admit we didn't see that coming. Socialism is not too far away if we don't stop the little things right now! Obowma is leaning that way and leading us that way. He doesn't know any better. How could he with the company he has kept over the years... Well, that's another rant for a different time. I'll climb down from my soap box and quit for now. But, please promise me, you'll enjoy every minute of every day. JC
