It's all just one big party

We've all heard the stories about the lavish gatherings at the White House in the last couple of months. While most of us worry about finding enough cash to buy a pound of hamburger, the first couple and their guests are dining on $100 a pound wagyu beef....suppose they have an official Grape Peeler to the President? Guess that would be the Fruit and Vegetable Czar...

Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind and Fire have provided live entertainment as the Who's Who of Washington D.C. make merry on our dime. I've heard, but cannot provide a source, that Michelle has been flown to Chicago on board Air Force One to meet friends for dinner - if true, this last seems an almost criminal waste of taxpayer dollars.

I find it all extremely repugnant, and would feel the same about any such Marie Antoinette wannabe White House occupant, regardless of party affiliation or policy leanings.

Now Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary, admits that it's all one big game to the Obama administration.
President Obama’s spokesman and confidant simply characterizes his battles with Limbaugh and CNBC commentators Rick Santelli and Jim Cramer as “fun.”

He adds that the rationale behind engaging those critics from the podium of the White House briefing room is to correct the record on Obama’s policies during times of severe economic uncertainty.

“There’s a certain amount of theater to it that might make it more fun, but it’s important that people understand the policy,” Gibbs said in his West Wing office.
We're all just thrilled that ya'll are having such a great time destroying everything we've spent our lives building. Suppose you'll get tired of the theatrics and lavish lifestyles in time to actually consider governing? Nah...that's too much to ask...
