See them for what they are

Whatever you do, don't make the mistake of thinking that all of the things that are going wrong right now in this country, all the government missteps, are accidental, coincidental or the unintended consequences of ignorance. They are most definitely not.

Everything that is happening, and has been happening for years, in politics in this country is carefully calculated and meticulously executed. O'Dumbo and the Dims have done their homework with great care and much deceit. They know how far they can push the American people, and the most expeditious ways to realize their plans. They, with a lot of help from George Soros and his ilk, have spent years toying with our economy. They, in large part, legislated the current fiscal disaster by forcing banks to make ever more bad loans. Soros and friends have enough money and influence to make very real changes in the markets, and there are many who believe that he is responsible for the crash the morning of September 15, 2008. They have world-changing power, and they are using it for evil.

In one of the monster spending bills that's either recently been passed or will be soon, there is a change in the deduction allowance for charitable giving. I haven't actually seen it myself, rather I heard it discussed on Glenn Beck, but it is my understanding that the taxpayer will only be able to deduct 50% of donations, up to a maximum allowance. Why would anyone do this? I know it's really, really hard, but, just for a minute, try to imagine you're a liberal. An evil liberal. Look at this whole situation from their perspective. The ultimate goal is socialism (surely even they aren't evil enough to want to go further...). How do you get there?

Your ace in the hole is the people themselves. Hannity's Man-on-the-Street bits demonstrate, with painful clarity, that the people are not paying attention. The election demonstrates, horribly, that the people aren't paying attention.... The not-so-Dims know that they have a few days where they can spring things on the public and pass them quickly, and most of the people don't even notice. If they have a crisis to distract attention they will exaggerate it, creating mass panic and making the sheeple turn to their government, shell-shocked and completely clueless, begging to be saved. And save them they will. With handouts paid for with loss of liberties.

They have no sense of fair play and sneak all sorts of unrelated baggage into what should be positive legislation. The charity deduction thing? Charities are the competition. Charities eliminate dependency on the government. Charities help keep people free. Charities must be eliminated...but it can't look like they did it...it has to be the stingy, selfish American people.

They are taking our medical records. They have someone who is going to tell us which medical procedures we are allowed to have, regardless of what we want or can afford.

There is talk of, and indecision about, nationalizing our banks. The real decision isn't "Do we really need to do this to save the country?", it's "Do we dare do this right now, or should we wait until things get really bad?"

They want to vastly expand labor unions...thinly veiled thuggery for all!

They force us into ever smaller, more fuel efficient modes of transportation, then, when we do as we are told and revenues are down, they speak of taxing us by the mile. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

In every walk of life, they are taking control of our lives. They restrict our ability to better ourselves while sucking ever more of our production.

It is impossible, I think, for one person to wrap his mind around all that they are doing. This is all part of a grand plan which has been extremely well executed. If it were a chess game, we'd be very near the end, and it wouldn't be looking good for our side. We have no room for complacency. I know there are those who think I'm more than a little nuts. Remember Atlas Shrugged? Have you heard the refugees from former Soviet states call in to talk radio? Nearly in tears, they are so distraught as they beg the host to tell them how to stop this - they came here to get away from this! Now it has followed them, and there's no place left to go. No place left to go. That's the stakes. I'll chance being thought a little crazy.

  1. In The WaPo's "The Fix",. Chris Cillizza reports:

"Rush is the bloated face and drug-addled voice of the Republican Party," said Paul Begala, a longtime Democratic strategist who rose to prominence during Bill Clinton's presidency. "Along with lots of others, I intend to continue to turn up the heat until every alleged Republican either endorses or renounces Rush's statement that he hopes our President fails."

I will help you along, Mr. Begala... I fully endorse Ruch Limbaugh's comment and I hope in my heart of hearts that President Obama fails, and the sooner and more completely the better. I have yet to see one... even one of Obama's objectives that I, as a loyal American and lifelong Republican, would want to succeed.
