  1. I find it interesting that just reading again about Charles Schultz' death, and reading the note he had Snoopy type for him, brought tears to my eyes.
    I remember so well when the Peanuts strip first appeared, my mother loved it. She was especially fond of Linus and never tired of telling my sisters and I that each of us - like all little children - dragged a blanket around for comfort and security.
    Charles Schultz, like many other truly great and gifted artists, tapped into a familiar reality to entertain and touch us all.
    Rest in peace, Mr. Schultz. You are missed. You will be loved by generations yet to be born.
